After completing his training as an energy electronics technician, Dr. Rene Budich graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden, Germany, with a degree in electrical engineering, specializing in electrical drives and controls. He then successfully completed a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics.

During his time as an assistant at the University of Applied Sciences and the Center for Applied Research and Technology, he was actively involved in research and development projects for companies and public organizations. Rene was able to develop and successfully patent his own inventions.

During his doctoral studies at the Technical University of Dresden, he focused on hybrid mechatronic systems. Also during this phase, he filed applications for industrial property rights in order to legally secure his innovative ideas.

After several years as a project manager in a scientific environment, Rene is currently training to become a patent attorney in order to deepen his knowledge and skills and to strengthen the link between technical expertise and legal know-how.

His technical expertise includes electrical engineering, automotive engineering, software development, and mechatronic and electronic applications.

The main focus of his work is on supporting our patent attorneys in the search and drafting of patent and utility model applications up to their grant, as well as in patent infringement and opposition proceedings.

His working languages are German and English.
