Gunnar Bonneß studied physics at TU Dresden, specializing in nuclear physics, and graduated in 1987 with a diploma thesis on the topic “Instrumentation of a standard neutron source”. During his subsequent work as a research assistant at the Bauakademie in Berlin, he worked on topics concerning heat exchanger calculations, waste gas cleaning and modelling the mass and heat exchange processes involved.
As a consultant in management and environmental consulting firms in Berlin and Dresden, he worked on projects on the structural and process organization of companies, on the legally compliant organization and documentation of environmental monitoring measures for a large landfill site and on the dispersion calculations of pollutants for accident analyses as well as on environmental impact studies.
From 1999 Gunnar worked as IT system administrator in various companies in the semiconductor industry in Dresden. In order to extend his knowledge in the IT sector, he took up a distance learning course at the University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau, which he completed in 2005 with a diploma-degree in business informatics.
Since 2008 Gunnar has been working as a technical assistant in the patent area and since 2009 for the patent law firm Kailuweit & Uhlemann. Here, the main focus of his work is on supporting our patent attorneys in conducting patent searches, preparing drafts for patent applications, replies to office actions at the German, European or international patent offices as well as preparing written submissions in German and European opposition and nullity proceedings.
Gunnar has been a European Patent Attorney since 2017 and is employed with us in this function.
