Marco Starace studied physics at the University of Warwick and the FU Berlin with a focus on remote sensing. In his diploma thesis at the Institute for Space Sciences he developed an infrared component for a sun photometer for aerosol remote sensing and participated in measurement campaigns in the Alps, the Atlantic Ocean and Central European airspace. After completing his studies, he investigated magnetohydrodynamic instabilities and vortex flows in liquid metal battery model systems as a member of the scientific staff at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden – Rossendorf. Subsequently, he worked as a project developer in a renewable energy company.
Since 2022 Marco Starace is a patent professional at Kailuweit & Uhlemann. His main responsibilities in the support for our patent attorneys lie in preparing and evaluating patent searches, commenting and preparing responses to office actions of the German Patent and Trademark Office, as well as the European Patent Office, in addition to preparing correspondence with clients and with legal representatives in other countries.
