We are an established national and international patent law firm with our head office in the south of Dresden. To complete our team at our office in Dresden we are currently looking for:

Paralegal (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • administration and support of national and international patent and trademark portfolios,
  • filing of German, European and international patent applications as well as correspondence in German and English in connection with patent applications,
  • filing of German trademarks, Union trademarks and international registrations as well as correspondence in German and English in connection with trademark applications abroad,
  • preparation of trademark renewals and rewrites,
  • preparation of oppositions and other appeals,
  • correspondence with patent and trademark offices, clients and parties to proceedings in Germany and abroad,
  • processing of conflict notices,
  • handling of litigation in the field of intellectual property rights.

Your qualifications:

  • completed training as a patent attorney’s paralegal,
  • relevant professional experience in a patent law firm or patent department,
  • excellent knowledge of German and English,
  • very good IT user knowledge (PatOrg 5, epoline, DPMAdirekt),
  • ability to work in a team, organizational talent, enjoy administrative tasks, flexibility, friendly manner, quick perception.

  • relevant professional experience and knowledge of intellectual property rights are desirable, but not a requirement,

  • good IT user knowledge,
  • motivation, reliable, structured and responsible way of working, ability to work in a team, organizational talent, friendly demeanour, quick comprehension.

Technical employee (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • planning, performing and evaluating patent searches as well as searching non-patent literature using common search platforms such as Depatisnet and Espacenet,
  • assistance in the preparation of German, European and international patent applications,
  • assistance in commenting on and responding to office actions in German and English language,
  • support in correspondence with clients and legal representatives of other countries.

Your qualifications:

  • completed studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable course of study,
  • professional experience and knowledge of intellectual property law are desirable, but not a prerequisite,
  • excellent knowledge of German and English
  • good EDP user skills,
  • motivation, reliable, structured and independent way of working, ability to work in a team, organizational skills, friendly appearance, quick perception.
