Tristan Buss studied sports equipment technology at Chemnitz University of Technology at first and then studied mechanical engineering at Dresden University of Technology. During his studies, he completed a six-month internship at Robert Bosch GmbH and, after completing his internship, worked as a student employee at Bosch.
His bachelor’s thesis at Chemnitz University of Technology focused on optical tracking systems for gait analysis. His diploma thesis at Dresden University of Technology was written in cooperation with Robert Bosch GmbH, where he examined the thermo-mechanical properties of plastics from end-of-life vehicles.
After completing his diploma thesis, Tristan began working as a patent professional at the patent law firm Kailuweit & Uhlemann in January 2025. He supports patent attorneys primarily in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly in novelty searches, the drafting of examination reports, the drafting of patent and utility model applications up to their grant, as well as in patent infringement and opposition proceedings.
